My Laptop Wont Start Windows When I Turn On My Computer How Can I Fix This?

I have a toshiba laptop that uses windows vista. Somehow my computer got messed up and when i turn my laptop on now it doesnt start windows. Does anyone know how i can fix this and get my laptop to open windows again? Thank you!
